SAN DIEGO, CA, November 15, 2012 − Visage Imaging, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Pro Medicus Ltd. (ASX: PME), announced today an impressive lineup for the Visage 7 Enterprise Imaging Platform in support of the upcoming 2012 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) conference in Chicago, November 25 – November 29. Visage Imaging will be exhibiting under the theme of “Speed is Everything”, in booth #6249, South Building, Hall A, McCormick Place. Visage 7’s amazingly fast, thin-client, serverside processing technology delivers enterprise diagnostic, clinical and mobile viewing solutions for healthcare institutions seeking to dramatically accelerate and enhance the delivery of radiology services.
Strengthening their industry-leading enterprise-class technology platform, Visage Imaging sustained momentum with their August release of Visage 7.1.2, which included performance, usability, integration, workflow, automation and advanced clinical capabilities. The impressive velocity of innovative features continues at RSNA 2012 with demonstration of numerous work-in-progress capabilities built into the core enterprise viewing technology. In terms of universality, Visage Imaging will showcase the extension of their current impressive cardiac capabilities, which include cardiac CTA, LV analysis and calcium scoring. New cardiac work-in-progress includes enhanced cardiac display protocols for angiography and Echo studies, display of multiple concurrent cine views, as well as ECG synchronized display of pre and post stress echocardiography.
The recently upgraded Visage Ease* 1.2.3 for mobile imaging results will be demonstrated with new support for iPhone 5, improved compatibility for iOS 6, as well as other enhancements. Convenient push notifications for Visage Ease will be demonstrated as a work-in-progress, as well as novel support for the attachment of photographs and screen captures from iOS devices. This mobile capability builds on a universal workflow introduced with Visage 7.1.2 supporting the attachment of non-DICOM files (e.g., PDF, JPG, PNG, BMP) into radiology studies accessed via the Visage 7 enterprise viewer.
“We’re developing innovative workflows directly from customer feedback,“ explained Malte Westerhoff, PhD, Visage Imaging Chief Technology Officer and General Manager GmbH. “Extensibility and mobility of the universal viewer has been one of our core priorities as customers move beyond traditional imaging to new mobile use cases. We’re developing workflows where imaging users can push or ‘upload’ content while they are mobile. For example, technologists or ED physicians are able to take photos or clinical screen captures from their mobile device, and via Visage Ease, automatically associate the information with the appropriate radiology study, then enabling immediate access by the interpreting radiologist and imaging stakeholders. It’s clear patient care is dynamic and the industry’s historical focus on just diagnostic images, based upon previously available technology, has been constraining. Our evolution of Visage Ease into this cutting edge territory is truly exciting.”
Visage Imaging also continues to reinforce its position empowering healthcare institutions that have centralized their diagnostic imaging assets, by helping free their images with a powerful enterprise viewer. For enterprise imaging users who have, or are considering investment in Acuo’s Universal Clinical Platform (UCP), a vendor neutral archive (VNA) solution for enterprise clinical content management, Visage Imaging is now offering ‘synchronized QA’. This automated set of capabilities provides HL7 standards-based integration to Acuo’s UCP powering seamless integration of typical quality assurance functionality like edit, merge, and delete, that are essential capabilities for integrated enterprise imaging.
Visage Imaging is also pleased to announce a number of exciting opportunities for customers to experience the Visage 7 Enterprise Imaging Platform outside of the Visage Imaging RSNA booth, including:
