Highlights include comprehensive toolset and incredible speed of DBT
SAN DIEGO, CA, May 13, 2014 – Visage Imaging Inc. (“Visage”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Pro Medicus Ltd. (ASX: PME), announced today that they will be exhibiting the latest release of the Visage® 7 Enterprise Imaging Platform at the 2014 Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) annual meeting, Booth 331, in Long Beach, CA from May 15-17. The latest release of Visage 7, version 7.1.5, includes optimized navigation and tools, and significant speed enhancements to Visage 7’s already industry-leading performance with massive digital mammography and digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) studies. Visage 7 enables enterprise imaging with amazingly fast, thin-client, server-side processing technology, as well as simple mobile access to imaging results via Visage EaseSM.
Visage 7 continues to set the standard, enabling even the largest imaging organizations and health systems to dramatically transform the interpretation and delivery of medical images using a single enterprise imaging platform. Clearly differentiated versus web-based PACS, client/server PACS and dedicated DBT workstation offerings, Visage 7’s server-side architecture does not require expensive network upgrades or pre-fetching of massive DBT studies to the diagnostic workstation prior to interpretation. Instead, Visage 7 provides near immediate display of DBT studies, and any other diagnostic modality, over existing networks down to consumer broadband speeds.
Visage Imaging will also have an active role in the SIIM 2014 scientific program. Visage’s Bobby Roe, Director, Solutions Architecture and Customer Experience, will be a vendor panelist at the Problems and Solutions in Breast Tomosynthesis session in the SIIM Innovation Theater, May 15, 12-1 PM. Additionally, Visage’s Brad Levin, General Manager, North America, will be presenting Deconstructed PACS as a poster presentation in the Scientific Posters & Demonstrations section of the SIIM Exhibit Hall. “Visage 7 is truly a magical departure from legacy PACS,“ said Brad Levin, General Manager, North America, Visage Imaging. “With all legacy approaches, large studies such as DBT have to be sent in their entirety, in advance, to the local client prior to interpretation. Visage 7 does not have this significant limitation. Visage looks forward to meeting with customers at SIIM to discuss how Visage 7 can dramatically change their perspective on what’s possible with state-of-the-art enterprise imaging.”
