Visage adds another major academic institution to their prestigious install base
SAN DIEGO, CA, November 20, 2017 – Visage Imaging, Inc. (“Visage”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Pro Medicus Ltd. (ASX: PME), has announced the signing of a 7-year contract for the Visage® 7 Enterprise Imaging Platform, with Yale New Haven Health (“YNHHS”), affiliated with Yale University and Yale Medicine, the clinical practice of the Yale School of Medicine and the largest academic multi-specialty practice in New England. YNHHS is one of the leading, most respected academic institutions in the US. Visage 7 enables enterprise imaging with amazingly fast, thin-client, server-side processing technology, as well as simple diagnostic mobile access via Visage Ease Pro®.
The contract, based on a transaction licensing model, will see Visage 7 implemented at select YNHHS radiology locations and integrated to their EHR for imaging results.
The implementation will span three of the health system’s hospitals — Bridgeport, Greenwich and Yale New Haven, including Yale New Haven’s Children Hospital and Smilow Cancer Hospital, as well as numerous additional imaging locations across the state of Connecticut. Yale New Haven Hospital is the primary teaching hospital of the Yale School of Medicine.
“This is another very significant contract for us,” said Dr. Sam Hupert, CEO of Visage Imaging. “Yale New Haven is one of the top academic medical centers in the US and its affiliated medical school is renowned. Their decision further validates our belief that Visage 7 is uniquely positioned to cater to the needs of the most sophisticated and demanding clinical environments.”
Dr. Hupert continued, “This is another major milestone for us in terms of market acceptance and we look to build on this as a basis for continued growth in North American and other global markets.”
Visage will be demonstrating the industry leading Visage 7 Enterprise Imaging Platform at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 2017 annual meeting (Visage Booth 4365, McCormick Place-South Hall A), November 26–30, Chicago, Illinois.
